URGENT - Vandalism at Threemilestone Playing Field

Published: 17 September 2019

UPDATE: Please note that the last remaining picnic bench has now also been vandalised and thrown over a 6ft fence between the playing field and the school. We have no option but to ask Kestrel Security to up their patrols of this area. This is costly to us and our parishioners who through their council tax have to pay for the patrols and the outcome of this type of mindless behaviour. Please, if you have any information contact the Parish Clerk, the Police, Crimestoppers or one of your councillors. At present the plans to purchase and provide a great deal of new play equipment are causing us great concern if this is going to be the outcome.

You may have noticed new signs at Threemilstone Park from Kestrel Security.

Kenwyn Parish Council have contracted Kestrel to carry out random security patrols due to the increased vandalism and malicious activity happening within the park.

This has ranged from smashed picnic benches (as pictured), broken glass around the base of the slide and removal of the safety bars from play equipment.

The safety of the people using the park is our top priority.

If you see any activity happening you can report this to us, via Facebook, emailing or phoning one of your councillors or the Parish Clerk. All of these details can be found on our website
www.kenwynparishcouncil.gov.uk.

Alternatively you can report this to Devon & Cornwall Constabulary on 101 or even anonymously to crime stoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their website https://crimestoppers-uk.org/…/forms/give-information-anony…
